Considerations in Purchasing Perfect Parrot - Family - Pets

One of the greatest joys of being a parrot owner is pride. Parrots are intelligent, beautiful creatures that are admired in both nature and captivity. From the time we are children, parrots are magically introduced through storybooks and movie films, and when seen in real life in the pet stores, they have always appeared to be a magical mystic that is of human intelligence- talking on their perch and performing tricks to on lookers. And, there intelligence is humanistic, the parrot has the intelligence of a small child, making it possible to train the parrot to do such things as speak, mimic and perform. Finding the perfect parrot will be a chore, as each species in the parrot family is truly unique and enticing. The best place to start is with a parrot breeder. A parrot breeder is a wiser choice than a pet store. Basically, because the parrot breeder is able to provide the parrot with parrot care and has a better understanding of how to care for a parrot and its needs, wh ich ensures a better, more adjusted future for the parrot. A perfect parrot will be one that likes you. The parrot should have been introduced to "parrot fundamentals" by the breeder or the owner. This means having had plenty of interaction with the human, being weaned between 10 to 12 weeks, being introduced to bathing when the bird began to start developing feathers, being feed an optimal diet, and hand feed if the parrot was a bird which could be hand feed, talked to, petted, understood, was allowed to fly free for at least fifteen minutes each day, and was cared for and treated properly when ill. Parrot personalities will vary, but one common trait they will all have is their intelligence. The perfect parrot will add many years of enjoyment to your life. And, it will be many years. The lifespan of a parrot can be up to 60 years of age, so it is necessary to consider your lifespan when purchasing the parrot. Will you be around long enough for the parrot, and can you make arrangements for the parrot, should you not be? Ask yourself if the parrot has special needs that you will be able to provide. Will you be able to tolerate the parrot's ups and downs, high loud noises, and troublesome behavior, should it exist? And, most importantly, can you provide the care and love the parrot needs? Developing a bond with the parrot will be necessary in order to produce the perfect parrot. If you are unable to communicate with your parrot, hold your parrot, or teach your parrot to obey, the parrot will not have the environment that it needs nor will you have the pet that you desire. Take time before purchasing the parrot and visit it at various times, allowing it to become acquainted with you. You will learn more about your parrot's behavior and how well his reception is to you. Your bond together will be one of the strongest influences in your search for the perfect parrot.
